7. After the engine starts, warm up the engine

enough so that the engine does not stop when the

choke lever is returned to the original position.

6. (Electric starting model) Turn the engine switch to

“6” (START).

Take your hand off the switch immediately after

the engine starts.

5 “6” (START)

NOTICE

If the engine fails to start, release the switch, wait

a few seconds, then try again. Each attempt

should be as short as possible to preserve the

battery. Do not crank the engine more than 5 sec-

onds on any one attempt.
