POWER FAIL SIMULATOR
> Simulator for voltage drops and
interruptions
> Rise/fall time less than s
> Electronic switch, short-circuit proof
> Nominal voltage V DC
> Manual operation
> Standard test routines
> USB and GPIB interfaces
PFS N SERIES
The Power Fail Simulator PFS N series is primarily used to meet
the requirements of automobile manufacturers for fast voltage drops
and interruptions (micro interruptions). Some specications require
very quick rise times of less than one microsecond, which requires an
electronic switch.

The VDS N series is used to simulate various power supply volt-
age proles, that are required in international standards and manufac-
turer specications. Particularly manufacturer specications include
many important requirements, which are all met by the devices in the
VDS N series. Furthermore, the VDS N is a powerful DC voltage
source for DUTs during testing with automotive transients.
The VDS N series covers all power supply voltages ( V, V,
and V). Depending on model and use, the current carrying capacity
is sucient for up to reach a steady current of A.
